Don't we all wish to influence others to agree with us? I mean, I don't necessarily mind if someone disagrees with me, but isn't the point of persuasive conversation and debate to convince the other party that you are right and they are wrong? Or, in some conversations, to mutually come up with a satisfactory explanation or solution to a question or problem?
IF the conservatives who have left wish to indicate that they have no desire to change anyone's mind about any topic, and don't wish to have any influence with any member of this forum, then they will have a legitimate complaint, since that will make the conversation one-sided. However, we ALL know that's not the case.
The nature of the forum is that we will disagree with one another, we will present our views, and each of us will hope to convince another person that our understanding is the correct one.
It's easy to call your own persuasive writing "concern", and your opponent's posts an "agenda."
