Re: The REAL Reason CONS have left or rarely post

Any preacher who has heard the Oneness message, rejects it, and teaches others Trinitarian doctrine - including an invalid baptismal formula - will go to Hell.

To hear some of you tell it...everyone is going to hell...except you of course.

Let me make sure I understand you correctly.

Suppose an AOG preacher who is a trinitarian and baptizes "In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, which is Jesus Christ" happens by a typical UPC confernce of some kind where the preacher is screaming out the usual red meat about Oneness, Acts 2:38, and Jesus Name baptism to get the crowd going so he can feel the gratification of their response.

The AOG hears this sermon on Oneness in this service but does not change and start preaching it to his congregation. His saints are baptized in a formula that includes Jesus name and they are filled with the Holy Ghost. They are all going to hell in a handbasket?

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I never said anything about a handbasket.

I believe anyone who has heard who Jesus is, and rejects that message and teaches a heresy, is hellbound.

It's more than just a formula.

So so you view trinitarians as heretical, not just having a flawed view of the Godhead?

In my mind that would mean you have drank the koolaid that they are polytheistic. That is the only way I can see someone condemming them as heretical.

I believe they are monotheists with not as good an understanding of the mystery of the godhead as I have.

CC1, before you defend their garbage, at least study it.

One God in three persons, who are coequal, coexistant and coeternal?

The persons language is tritheistic.

Tri meaning three.

Three meaning more than one.

Which is, by definition, polytheism.

PP, that is not correct. All of the trinitarian doctrine holders I know believe in one God. 1John 5:7 speaks of three are one. They see this differently than we do. But, they are not lost, and are not polytheistic.

They are polytheistic.

They believe in a team of Gods.

They are not monotheistic in any sense of the word.

Lots of people make all sorts of fruity claims, but you need to start verifying some of it before you repeat their heresy as gospel.

Maybe in the land of The Ever Changing Price, that kind of answer flies.

Bill those who you know, are not those who matter. They only consist of how many people who are Trinitarian?

Bill PP, is correct, it is you who are wrong.

Documents of Faith for any Trinitarian believer consists of three persons who are coequal and coeternal. A unified three working as a unified one. Not the literal number one.

Bill are you confused or what?
