AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where are you supposed to bad mouth them then?

Seriously, if the UPC wasn't so insistent that the little guy constantly keep his mouth shut because he might 'touch God's anointed', people might not be quite so angry.

Re: More Employee Layoffs at PPH

bad-mouthing leadership? If a person gets hired to to a job and they do it poorly....how is calling them on it "bad-mouthing"?

titles....don't make leaders....and if you are a ceo/cfo/coo/department super/etc...then you better expect for people to say something when you or your department does a bad job.

I don't think it takes anointing to balance a checkbook or use good business sense....i do believe there are many anointed people who work at WEC....who have little/poor/or no business sense at all.

I am not questioning their anointing.....but their business sense.

In part some folks aren't held accountable for the actions....imo....

and some would defend the devil if they thought he was right....

We are all levelled at the foot of the cross and to make a subjective assessment of another's work or character is not right! Biblically!

Re: More Employee Layoffs at PPH

y'all cant have it both ways....either it's a BUSINESS that is subject to hard times and cut backs...or it's a ministry and you arent to "touch the annointed"......

And I'm not bad mouthing ANYONE on the internet. I whole heartedly disagree with their choices and find it to be a bad decision either as a BUSINESS or a MINISTRY. Either way you look at it it's not being done properly.

I don't see how WEC could be considered a ministry. It's the offices for the UPCI organization.

I would rather see them be fiscally responsible rather than make decisions just on who would been hurt. Of course I would expect each decision to be made compassionately, but ultimately the hard decisions have to be made.
If family is involved it would be hard not to try to keep jobs held by them. of course perhaps family would be farther up the ladder from these jobs that were cut.

Re: More Employee Layoffs at PPH

PPH's pricing and selections have been out of line for years.

I submitted short publications years ago (1980's) and the reply on the rejection slips were.

1. We cannot make money on such a narrow reader based subject.
My pamphlet? "The eyes have it."

A pamphlet based on a book called "Fashion from ancient Egypt to the present day" 1976 copyright showing the invention of a thing called PANTS by a 'nomadic' people called Israel.

2. It is easy to see that lots of work and research went in to this work.
We are looking for work that is not so detailed.
We already have lots of books that cover this subject.

They had 2 then and neither covered this subject matter.

The MS came back unopened, unread.

My pamphlet? Whose Image: An Exposition of Gen 1:26.

But they sure can sell that Trinitarian and 'other' Christian books.
