I have found that I have been able to greatly reduce my usage of TP, but I'm afraid I am just not willing to go the distance in that particular area!

I think what nahkoe does is her own business. Whatever it takes, right?

My point was, that I too, think whatever she does is her business.

I thought you were saying "Leave her alone and mind your own business", so I was all like "Hey......."

Re: How to Save Money
ROFL! Y'all are funny!
I couldn't go there again. I know at the time it made major sense. I had 3 kids in diapers anyhow, I was washing diapers 3 times every 2 days. Throwing a few more washcloth wipies in there wasn't a big deal......
But yeah...not again.

Re: How to Save Money
What I want to know is what are yall doing with all that powdered milk? We are not big milk drinkers- A quart of milk last us at least a week.

That second test is much more reasonable.
I think I almost past the "miser" test that time
powered milk sounds pretty gross. what's wrong with fresh milk?
Do you really need that much milk anyways?

I mainly keep it for times when I don't have any milk on hand. It's also good in certain bread recipes. But the box i have will most likely last me forever...

It is gross. But, when you're unable to purchase food, powdered milk is a good source of calcium and protein and it keeps nearly forever.
I *have* been in a position where I had to watch the nutritional value of every thing I make for the kids, and where I had to make what was already in my home stretch for a very, very long time. It's very handy to have around in that situation. It's the only reason I keep it around.

That makes sense. I do recall at times our saints getting something called" commodities" . this was years ago but they would get government products and one of them was powered milk. some of the other things was peanut butter, government cheese and butter I believe
