Another way to look at 'parts'

Hello everyone,
Some are uncomfortable saying that God has parts. That's fine, see HIM how you see HIM as long as you obey HIM. Here's another thought with a twist on it.

Instead of saying parts, what if we called them 'levels of God'. We all want to go deeper in God right? That is only possible if there are levels to HIM. The first level we reach has to be the Son. No man reaches the Father except through the Son.

This was a quick thought in that I don't know much what else to write. Hopefully some of you will respond and get the ball rolling.

The question is: is it acceptable to see God as having levels?

God bless

How about three record bearers? 1 John 5:7.

How about three witnesses? 1 John 5:8.

I think I've read that at one time. I think I liked it. I don't remember much of it though.

I certainly can see God as having multiple dimensions.
5cm x 5cm x 5cm = 125cm^3
You could look at each of the 5cms being part of the 125cm^3.

God bless

Hello scotty,

And where are those levels of 'spiritual maturity' found? In God I would say.

That is my main question, to see if that rephrasing of my thoughts is acceptable.

A question: as you mature spiritually, do you experience God in a way you haven't before? If so, a way to express that is that you've experienced a new level/part of HIM. That's just how I view it of course.

God bless

Hello Timmy,

No problem there...

No problem either...

Worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth.
Repent, be baptized, receive the Holy Spirit.

To be honest though, I'm not quite sure what your post had to do with mine. Are you agreeing, disagreeing, asking a question? If not one of those things, how are you connecting your thoughts with mine. I find it more helpful if things are a little more spelled out.

God bless

Re: Another way to look at 'parts'

I wouldn't say God has parts as much as we understand God only in parts. Even then I don't think I would use the word "parts".

You can know a person in different degrees. You can know them by sight and make assumptions about their personality, but then meet them and say, "I didn't know they were like that". You haven't discovered a new part about that person, you just know them a little better, and that knowledge alters your perception of them.

A week later you might go to that same person's house, meet their family and learn new things about them that you could not have known simply by knowing them by sight, nor meeting them once in person.

It is all a matter of knowledge changing your perception. The more you know God, the more you understand things about Him that before confused you or was not known to you. That knowledge changes your perception on who God is and what He is capable of and most assuredly, what you are capable of in Him.

That is my opinion anywho
