Oh never mind, I see my SIL posted that already.
Well the thing is I used two packages and there is no accounting for that as far as temp and time goes. It says 400 for one package so I lowered it to 350 to give the inside to bake before the top get's too cooked. I was not sure of the time so I just used the toothpick

Well the easiest way to do it is this. clean it really good with water only. NO SOAP EVER. dry it and then turn your stove on, hopefully gas, that is my favorite. Heat the pan up and then pour oil into it and pour in about a half cup of salt and using an old, but clean cloth, rub the salt and oil around in the pan for several minutes. Remove from the heat, brush out the salt wipe it clean and store.
anytime you start seeing things stick to the pan go through this process again.

As for the toothpick...how else are you supposed to know it is really done?
When you double your recipe you need to increase your pan size as well...that should solve your problem.

The pan size was already too big the first time so that was why I tried two

I used mine on the glass top, but I set it very carefully on the top so as to not break the top. However, it is a dozzy to clean the stovetop afterwards.

We are not nuts, we know how to cook.

I agree with Ferd you must have iron skillets and dutch ovens. Best way to fry chicken is in a dutch oven.

hey now I am not a southerner. I was born and raised in the cold north. That is where I learned to cook.

They make the food taste better for some reason.

Huh? You should always grease the pans!!!! LOL!!! That keeps them from being ruined. What do you mean by "ruined", exactly?

Re: cooking hints?

The only cookie sheet I never grease is my stone ones. Pampered Chef stoneware, LOVE IT. Need to get me some more. Need to replace a few pieces that I have absolutely used to death. I have one that is chipped and I can not use to make EVERYTHING in anymore. My boys have broken a few of my Pizza stones.
