As for the rest, listen to Sis Alvear. I don't know anything about the group, but I know she's not one to easily speak against a group. If she says to stay away, trust her on that...ok? She's seen more than you hopefully ever will.

What does IIRC mean? , I believed some of the things you mentioned in my earlier Christian walk (I was saved under teachers that believed that stuff). Now I don't believe a woman has to have uncut hair or a veil on her head. I think it's important for men and women to dress in gender-appropriate and modest apparel, and for the sisters I know they've all seen that as skirts/dresses.
