I was brought up to believe that the "sissy cussin'" was bad. Meanwhile folks - even folks in the pulpit - were free to pronounce curses and swear oaths as long as they avoided the really "bad" four-letter type words.

Yeah. Now that appears to be bona-fide Bible cursing, something which we are told not to do.

He's talking about me (among others), BTW. Guess I'm cursed. Guess that's why I can't see the "truth".

Once my son was with the Sunday School teacher who was also the assistant pastor's wife and they were in a van full of other SS kids and were on a scavenger hunt..... they were trying to beat the other van load to the next destination and an old "gentlemen" was in front of them going really slow....my son let's rip "get out of the way you old f**t"!! And the SS teacher said "oh honey we don't say those things"..... My son responded "My Mom says it all the time"......Bless his little pea pickin' heart!
