We had a preacher come to town once...I won't mention his name but he is well known in California...and you might figure it out if he has ever preached standards are a church any of you were in.

He preached against pockets on skirts.....he preached against zippers...in fact he pointed at his crouch and said "that zipper belongs to me"...

After his rantings my pastor got up and said that that guy did not speak for us here and basically to disregard what he had to say lol....I don't know whether or not to say my pastor was patient or what but at another church across town he tried the same thing and the pastor there stopped him in the middle of his message.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Maybe we need a new law that ladies have to wear pink jeans instead of blue

Prax: my former UPC church in Illinoi preached the same thing.

It made me so glad that I was no longer in that congregation.
