[Yeah, yeah.....I hear all the "blind obedience" boo-birds cacklin' already.]
It's a wonderful thing to see a man and wife submitted to each other and holding to more modest dress standards than has crept into the Apostolic ranks.
I also find it amazing how much "good grief" and "I don't know what to say" is going on. I see "things" are alive and well (and unchanged) on good ol' AFF. It's like a soap opera --- tune in every couple of weeks and you are immediately introduced to the same characters saying the same things about the same topics as when you signed off.
Stay strong, pastor. Some of us recognize and appreciate true godly, scriptural submission!!

PLEASE explain to me how wearing hose makes you modest? If you have a long skirt/dress on, what's the hose doing to contribute to the modesty?

OK I have been reading a bit and I guess that is my question too. What is it about hosery that is better, more modest or Christlike?
This is a fair question and for my part - I could care less. I am not even sure my wife wears them regularly. Is this something I should investigate?

No, Stephen that makes you normal. You trust your wife to make modest choices!
I am very anxious to see what the belief behind this hosiery hooey is.

Nothing, I didn't say that I wanted my wife to wear hose because of modesty, but because i think it looks bad not to. She wears knee high and seldom wear pantyhose so it is not different that me wearing socks and my wife would have a fit if I didn't wear socks.
Again I don't preach that women have to wear hose. I said I want my wife to wear them because I think she doesn't look dressed without them. Just like I wouldn't want her running around in flip flops. TACKY

Thanks - I guess OGIA seems to think it's more modest.
