Re: Why would a Pastor do this to me ?

I'm not sure if it can be done, but if it's possible could admin. close or delete this thread I started. Contrary to what several might believe, I came here because I am broken and hurt and need restoration. It was never my intent to start a lot of Pastor/saint bashing . I don't believe in it nor do I condone it. I do not think I have been disrespectful of ministry or any one else during this forum. If you think otherwise, I am sorry. I guess I'm naive, I thought I might find some answers here or maybe prayer support. But instead many would rather sit and judge and insist that there is more to the story. This is the "story". For any who care, please pray for us.

As always, Peace, Sinatra

Psalm 51:10-12
Please let's stop. To my brother who said it, you're right, this isn't a place to find the answer. So as God is showing me, the place for the answer to my questions will be found on my knees; and if I never know the answer to this, then, HE knows best.

As always, Peace, Sinatra

What do you know, I guess I just found my answer.

I have found there are two kind of posters on theads like these Sinatra.

There are those who are so blessed that in all their years in Pentecost, they have never met or run into a pastor like you had. They can not believe or except that pastors like this exsist.

The other type of poster here, like myself, has experienced a pastor that was very controling, dictatorial, pastored thru control and fear instead of love.
Those of us that have been in that situation find it hard to believe sometimes that all pastors aren't like the one we had.

In Pentecost, we have it all, the good the bad and the ugly.

This was my first and last post on this thread.

I pray you find a place of worship soon Sinatra.

Dear Sinatra,

You do not have to apologize for wanting to find answers to your questions or healing for your hurts here on an APOSTLIC forum. As I read and study my Bible we are all supposed to be agents of healing and peace. When many of us who are wounded - explain how these things transpired, knowing it is our perception of how things transpired, several UC Pastors get upset because they deny these things happen ignorring the wounded and bleeding laying in the battlefield.

While Paul would tell us to leave the past behind - before this can happen, often times the wounded just need to be heard/validated that they were hurt, and then they can go through a process of forgiving when they understand the why's or not. This is where faith comes in. Even though bad things happen to God's people, we have a promise that he will turn all these things around to our good.

Don't be frustrated or intimidated by the brashness of those who would like to tell you that it was some fault of yours that you were singled out and persecuted - like you deserved the abuse. Jesus surely didn't deserve all he was put through. Had he not been put through it then you and I could not get healing from some of the unjust things that happen to us.

There is much healing that happens through others on this forum. For instance, yesterday I left work early - a bit tired, anxious, and depressed. I went to my mailbox and a friend from this forum had sent me a beautiful card and a chocolate bunny which lifted my spirits and let me know someone was praying for me.

So listen to the voices of the healers on the forum and ignor the voices of the people who hurt.

In Jesus name,
Rhoni

No. You were correct to express your concerns. Perhaps an analogy would be helpful...

I've never been hit by a bullet, but it's obviously a dramatic event, to say the least. I was watching "A Band of Brothers" a while back and one of the characters is seen being hit in the head with a glancing shot from the enemy. His steel WW2 helmet saves his life and in fact prevents further injury than just a concussion from the impact. The character was then shown on the ground being examined by a happily surprised medic who had to reassure the injured man that he was alright.

The blow to the stunned the soldier had left him dazed. He needed someone else to evaluate the extent of his injuries. Someone with experience in the matter of bullet wounds and concussions. He also needed repeated reassurances that he was going to be alright, such was the stunning effect of the impact.
