You dont hear it because pastors love people and dont talk about those things the way the sheep do.

There is a reason the bible likens the people of God to a flock of sheep.

I grew up on a farm. my family raised sheep. Sheep are certainly interesting animals. In some ways they are hard to keep alive.

I want to preface that I am not talking about my church. But if I took the liberty to quote some of the things that I have heard pastor's say from the pulpit over the past few years.

My mom would have told my dad, you were wrong to have made those comments.

Today where are the checks and balances?

The same thing goes for actions outside the pulpit..

These are just observations....

The very good ministers protect what they say and their actions...

I believe Pastors wives should be their help meet, but I don't think they need to be pulling them by their ears to make them behave. LOL

The Christian husband should always be the head of the house.

Yet, when we hear about Apostolic Pentecostal Churches you would think that the people who burned to death at the Branch Davidian compound got off easy. I had my bad experiences, but I had more awesome experiences in the Apostolic Movement. I don't want to offend anyone, nor discount any kind of bad experience. I just want to say that I have been around all different kinds of religions, sects, and movements, and I must say that Apostolic One God Jesus Name people are still the most fun, and that's with all their faults and fictions.

Amen. I'd just as much not go to church than go to any other type of church. Apostolics rock, even with their faults.

I think a lot of times what people call discernment is just evil surmising.

Re: Why would a Pastor do this to me ?

I'm not sure if it can be done, but if it's possible could admin. close or delete this thread I started. Contrary to what several might believe, I came here because I am broken and hurt and need restoration. It was never my intent to start a lot of Pastor/saint bashing . I don't believe in it nor do I condone it. I do not think I have been disrespectful of ministry or any one else during this forum. If you think otherwise, I am sorry. I guess I'm naive, I thought I might find some answers here or maybe prayer support. But instead many would rather sit and judge and insist that there is more to the story. This is the "story". For any who care, please pray for us.

As always, Peace, Sinatra

I suggested that I could maybe start coming after worship service, that way I could be there for the preaching and the altar call. All he said was he thought I shouldn't keep coming. I told no one at church about this conversation. I simply did what Pastor said. This has left my spirit broken.
To this day I do not know why I was asked to leave.

Tough lov. Luv must be tough. It is also only in line for you and husband to have this conversation between the 3 of you.

How many attempts or actual conversations have you had with this pastor? does he know your feelings are hurt? Is it difficult to have the courage to initiate reconciliation with him on your iniative?

He may have thought he was giving helpful advice and had no intention to offend.
