so if tongues have ceased...wouldn't that also mean that prophecies have failed and knowledge has vanished?

wouldn't the terms "for now" and "but then" lead the reader to believe that this hasn't happened yet? Or at least cause them to think that something is coming later?

The way I see it is "For now" part we do not see things clearly right now and the "But then"part is when we are face to face with Jesus it will be clear..I am probley looking at that wrong..
