You're right, but they may have been headed to the trash any how. What killed GM was the Unionistas and a policy of government protectionism that rewarded the manufacture of inferior vehicles.

I always like my chevy Pickup truck. The union piracy is their liquidity issue.

GM did well selling what they specialized in. It hasn't been econo cars for years. They are flooded with 9 months inventory of hybrids.
