JESUS went to the beach of his day... And I'm sure JESUS showed HIS calves, not in shorts, but maybe robes or something like that. What is the problem?

Where does it state that Jesus showed His calves or arms above the elbows?

We read of an apostle being naked in a boat...

This surprised me. But maybe they meant something different for you then they did for me. It's hard to really figure it out, because it's almost impossible to look back with my mindset now, and figure out what I was thinking then

More than anything, I just thought I was so horrible, that anything I could do to make myself "holier", and make God like me better, I was going to do.

Granted I never had to live by the "Holiness for Women!" rulebook, but it is obvious to me that the majority reason for doing most things was peer pressure -or rather you were given instruction by leaders but then the peer pressure was misinterpreted as "conviction".

Re: How were you treated when changed your standar

There are some people who truly do LOVE the standards, LOVE the lifestyle. I have no problem with that at all. I respect their views and opinions.

I just wish they didn't feel that it was necessary for me to feel the same way.

I agree. That's my conviction exactly.

Where does it state that Jesus brushed his teeth, combed his hair or wore a belt? I don't think the Bible really has to explicitly state every detail of every issue.

I've wondered, where does it say Jesus wore pants?
