Blessings, Rhoni

P.S. I also think we should pay tithes on our increase...which means net and not gross to me Now that is a subject to discuss
Rhoni, see I would go opposite. The principal of the tithe was to give God your "firstfruits." Gross is the firstfruits. I'm not sure tithing is a command for NT Christians, but the principle of giving to God "gladly and cheerfully" with our (here's the principle God was stressing) firstfruits, is important.

If your thing is just for Pastor's to understand time constraints, point taken. That doesn't mean they have to go apply at Denny's to understand time constraints. Most pastors I know have busy lives themselves. They can certainly become aware of time by being coached than by putting in an application. A part-time job may not be bad for a preacher though, only on the grounds of mingling with the community. Coffee shops help with this though.

I preferred my pastor not to work -- devoting his time to meeting with saints, taking emergency calls, preparing messages, praying, reading and tending to matters of the church, which is truly a full-time job. The pulpit on Sunday is just the tip of the iceberg.
