I was at Taco Bell for lunch today and I didn't see any difference than what you see in your church.
Of the 20 or so people there, only 3 people were of normal weight. Over half were obese. NONE of them looked Apostolic (although about half were clean-shaven men without their wives).
So, are you saying that it's all right to be like the world?
The heresy hunters are still with us. Only now, instead of stakes, they use their books and radio programs to destroy those they consider heretics.... I'm concerned that heresy hunting may be turning into leukemia because some cultwatchers seem more intent on destroying parts of the body than healing the body....
I'm going to propose Apostolic bathrooms, for starters!

First I want to say as it has already been said… weight is an American problem. There is a large amount of fat peeps in and out of the church. Depending upon the area you live in, it can be worse than other places. Often we are a product of our upbringing. We just have to deal with it as we are to be temperate in all things. If food is being used as a vice as smoking or drinking.. the addiction needs to be dealt with, just as with Caffeine.
I do not post this to be offensive in any way, but I will say this... one thing I have learned as a person who struggles with a weight issue, wearing pants show or tell fluctuation of weight real quick. It is a great measuring stick for weight gain… keeps a woman in check that is for sure. With a skirt, weight can go up or down 10lbs and it not be noticeable. This might have an impact in some way…just a thought.
For the most part though, I think that sometimes women (and even men) just get comfortable in life and happy in their lives and gain. Some people are predisposed to weight issues. This does not give a license to be overweight… it just means that you accept it and then work to bring it under control. We shouldn’t judge however, because we don’t know who is working on it…only God knows the heart.

Lisa,
Not to hijack this thread, but your daughters are so pretty! Just like their
mother! Look sweet too, just like their mother!

I know people often say this just to be nice, but when I see pictures of ForeverBlessed and her daughters it truly IS hard to tell who is the mother and who is the daughter!

Thank you... sometimes they can be sweet, and so different from one another. I am love my girls, they are growing up.. in fact, my nest is emptying out. Elaine has moved to Muncie and has a good job there. Jaci now 18 has decided to spread her wings and decided to be independent from me too, she now lives with her aunt. Just me and my baby now. Bekah has two years of High School left, so hopefully I will have her around for a lil bit.
