My original plans were rather mundane. Work Sat day and a wedding in the evening.( previous dept manager) And work on Sunday as well.
BUT, Friday evening I was standing at the kitchen computer planning to read my email and get things ready for the next day. I suddenly felt really dizzy and started to grab the side of the microwave hutch (used as computer hutch now) and didn't make it.-----crash----- My husband came in to see what the noise was.
I had passed out and fallen back, hit the dining room table and in the process moved the table so that the chair on opposite end fell over.
I came to on the floor with hubby asking what happened.
I was still dizzy, and it lasted another 15 min or so. Even tho' I never go to the dr I knew this was not a good thing. My husband drove me to the ER.
I suspected stroke due to family history of same.
They did lots of tests...EKG, brain scan, blood work.....nada found. I was kept overnight and they did a stress test and echo. My heart behaved perfectly with every test. They could not find any cause. I was sent home about 1:30 Sat afternoon.
Since you get no sleep in the hospital, I took a nap.
Since I'd heard all of the wedding planning for the past year, I HAD to go.
It was very nice.
Lutheran, and the pastor had a really nice sermon and encouraged them to pray for each other every night. He had the parents and grandparents stand and basically pledge that they would pray for the couple as well. I thought it was a nice gesture.
Although I wasn't sure what to do, I did go to work Sunday.
I'm supposed to make an appointment with my regular doctor now for followup.
My family (all of them

) are amazed that I even went to the ER since they know my record (or lack there of) of seeing the doctor.
