I know this thread is incredibly self-serving, but I first joined here because I accidently came across the forum because something posted REALLY made me angry and it was something I was directly involved in. It was just wrong. I jumped on here to to yell and scream a little and of course, got hooked. What I thought was a bunch of close-minded gossips was actually some really good people that enjoy engaging in challenging and informative dialogue. And I've learned a LOT.
True, I'll still go toe-to-toe over "Grace" and "Tongues" and "The Godhead" and "Legalism" but I've actually made some really good friends and I didn't expect that.
And considering what's been happening in our lives the last two weeks (some of you know) this has been VERY therapeutic.
I'm not an "Apostolic" but for the most part, I've been accepted and a lot of you have proved me wrong about that. Today, I even emailed a good friend and begged him to get involved. He's brilliant and I need some intellectual help with some of my points-of-view!!
But three months I would have only told friends, "Stay away from there."
I know I'm an "outsider" so thanks for letting me in your family!
