Let's review ...

From reading the quote it doesn't look like you see a difference. You stated 1) that you would never participate in it; 2) you want those who feel choir vs AI is apple vs oranges to "just think about it."
So where is the part where you acknowledge the difference?

Again, where do you acknowledge seeing the difference? I see you said "yes I know some of you will say that's inconsistent with AI" but then you added, "but just think about it."
There was nothing noting you seeing a difference between the two. In fact, your statement shows you don't see a difference and you want others (some of you) who do to "just think about it." Because really to you, both are the same.
Try again.

They are VERY different which was my exact point. One is a singing competition to get a recording contract; the other is a competition to see who can praise God the best and do ministry the best. I find that deplorable.
If you disagree, just state your case instead of this stupid beam in the eye malarkey. It doesn't make any sense.

Wow.
You conduct "Adam adoration sessions" in your church staff meetings; you love a competition which glorifies the individual and promotes all kinds of filth in lyrics and styles ... yet you find a choir competition deplorable?
What kind of church do you pastor and what kind of pastor are you?
I've never met a christian, much less a pastor, who deplores a contest that uplifts the Name of Jesus and creates worship and praise.

"For instance, one person believes it's all right to eat anything. But another believer with a sensitive conscience will eat only vegetables. Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don't. And those who don't eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them. Who are you to condemn someone else's servants? They are responsible to the Lord, so let him judge whether they are right or wrong. And with the Lord's help, they will do what is right and will receive his approval." (Romans 14:2-4)
Think what you will. I'm not gonna argue with you about it anymore.

I get it! You have grace that allows you to "feel free to eat [or do] anything" and shame on us who don't believe grace is a license to live like hell and expect to claim Heavens rewards.
Picture is getting clearer ...

Re: Adam Lambert
I just heard that Adam's performance on CBS this morning was very good and his mom was there. I'm gonna guess, because of the public outcry, he's doing some serious backpeddling. Hope so, anyway.
