You may break that mold, but so far, by some of your rhetoric, it doesn't seem to be the case.
Either way, as an AFF member, I don't think this whole "respecting elders" things is of much merit. I think being generally respectful (doesn't mean we aren't ever direct) is a virtue, but bowing down to people older than you isn't required. However, it's only wise for a younger man to inquire and listen more than rebuke and finger point. You may still disagree in the end, and even say so, but it's the whole approach.

I think you should respect your elders, but this doesn't mean that you can't dialog with them, or even disagree with them. As I tell my children - 'I don't mind you disagreeing with me, just do it respectfully'.

True, Jeffrey. I don't view very many people here as my elders. This is more of an "iron sharpeneth iron" arena, and not always knowing who is older kind of helps with that open discussion thing.
It was just funny.
I Timothy 4:12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

This is what you posted after you became frustrated with your youthful ignorance....
Quote:
I'll leave with this
1Tim 4:1-2
1) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2) Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.
Gal 1:8, 10
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
10)For do I now persuade men, or God?or do I seek to please men? ofr if yet I pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ
Blessings.

I agree that knowing that you posted a thread about AFF, and it was there several days, you should not have stated that it's not allowed.
Not cool.

My post here have been mostly out of boredom, and just to test exactly what people think about what I believe is "core" apostolic doctrin.
I don't claim wisdom, but I do claim what I read from the word.

Fine. I agree with you on water/Spirit doctrine. I am very firm in my belief that a person must obey Acts 2:38.
My problem is not with your doctrine, it's with your complete inability to actually defend what you believe with scripture and logic.

But you just stated that AFF is never slammed, Nate.
Why did you say that when you, personally, did so and encouraged others to as well?

It's not the scripture, bro. It's the way you used that scripture.
You used it as a weapon because your argument was weak.
