Wink Christmas blizzard of '09

We have snow and wind----again! The city is nearly shut down.
There are some great drifts in my driveway, the neighbors driveways and the street. Best snowdrifts I've seen in 20 years.

My son spent the night after our family tradition of opening gifts on Christmas eve. He has to work today so took my husbands Explorer.

He called after getting to work. (4 miles) The streets were't plowed , the work parking lot wasn't plowed and many cars from yesterday were still there totally covered in snow.

Whether planned or not today will be a family Christmas across the city.

The weather channel shows the entire middle of the USA enjoying all of this winter wonderland.
At least I wasn't singled out.

Couple inches here in Missouri, with more on the way.

That Nor'easter has moved inland all the way to the Great Lakes. I don't think that I've seen that for a while. Enjoy the snow everyone, except Trouvere who's enjoying sunshine.

We have a high projected up to about 23 F. I think our snow's all done for a while. We've got a nice light powdery cover that the skiers all love. Of course, the mountains get hammered of their own accord but we have just about 4 inches of fluff here on the Front Range.

Well here in OHIO (where we always have snow in the winter!), the inch of snow we had yesterday is gone today. Melted by the rain. Unfortunately, it's still cold. 43 degrees right now (which is not really too bad for here).

Re: Christmas blizzard of "09

Still snowing

My husband cleared the driveway and sidewalks but it will need to be done again.

It should end this afternoon. I'm scheduled to work 12:30 pm but our street hasn't been plowed yet...
