We won't know that. He didn't select her until he won the Republican nomination and right before the convention. He did that without Palin. He beat Huck and Rom...without Palin. Sure she came out and energized the convention and base, but she alienated everyone else that would've voted for McCain, including most indie votes.

No offense to Huckabee, but he's a goober. Do you think that Mitt's Mormon background was a big concern or hyped concern?

I think pointing out Romney's Mormon background is ridiculous. The only religion I'd be concerned with is Islam.

I'm not pointing that out! The media has. I wanted to know if you thought that's what did him in?

I know you weren't and the media was. I'm just saying I thought it ridiculous that they would do that. I think that paranoia of his background along with some flip-flops scared a lot of Republicans and kept them from voting for him.

Oh, okay. Just checkin'!

Yes, you are right he did have some flip-flops. I also thought his religious background was a stupid thing to jump on.

Basically, from the stats that I remember the Republicans were more in McCain's camp because of his foreign affairs experience and policy.

Of course, if the economy had not have tanked, they would have won. But, we could do the woulda, coulda, shoulda all day long.

The Mormon thing didn't really bother me. I like Mitt Romney. However, Huckabee is the best-looking !
