A local gun shop has been running a commercial for two weeks telling ladies the ideal gift for their husbands would be to bring their husband in, let him pick out the gun he wants, and buy it for him using his money.....

When I first met the girl who later became my wife she was 15.

I went to visit her on her 16th birthday and brought her an all day sucker and a bottle of Arpege cologne.

We had several songs but this was one.
I guess because I was an older guy (age 19) and she was 16.

Remember, this was in the nineteen fifties (1957).
