We are so grateful really. This is an old house and it could have been much worse. Some supplies already bought, sheet rock and stuff like that. Thankfully we have hard working kids and in laws with lots of experience.
The house is paid for, but no insurance. Just paid our last vehicle off a few days ago. The Lord is good to us, so we can't complain. Really the only loss for me is the OLD carpet......which was free. It use to be in a church...

Don't use sheet rock made in China they are having problems with it.

It wasn't made in China, thanks for the tip though. After we spent over $400 I am glad......

Cindy, I'm so sorry that you had to go thru this experience, but I'm also glad that it wasn't any worse than it was. And that you all are OK!!!! THAT's the important part!
Walt has been a volunteer fireman for almost 40 years now. I've seen lots and lots of fire damage. I know it's awful, but really, I've seen LOTS worse That's a good thing! God was good.
Also, thank you for giving so much credit to your local fire dept. So often, people forget to thank them. They're quick to find fault, but not as quick to show gratitude. You always have such a great attitude! I think that's why I like you so much, my cheery friend.
Praying for you tonight. Asking God to calm your nerves and give you a good night's rest and then to supply ALL of your needs as you get into this remodeling project. He has the riches to do it.

I am getting new hardwood floors...........I am happy!!!!!!!

You'll love those-hardwood is the best thing about my house! No vacuums, just a good broom every so often-and so much lest dust!

Thanks, Margie. I slept very well even through all the noise they were making in the living room. Hammering, drilling, whatever else they were doing. And they are back at it today. But it's raining now. So they are doing things a little slower........
