20 minutes? from the left coast to the sleepy little river town of Cincinnati?
Actually I live several miles north of Cincinnati, closer to Hamilton.
I go to church in Hamilton.
I've probably met about 20 AFF'ers and they've all been awesome!! Glad you and Timmy got to spend some time together.
I don't "hang" in AFF circles, though, so I'm at a disadvantage! Not fair! I think there needs to be an AFF General Conference. I'll come if they let me speak!

I've learned to teleport by watching "Heroes" on Monday nights.
I can name every starter and most of the bench from the 74-78 "Big Red Machine". Joe Morgan, 1975-76 MVP, was my favorite.

Our kids were still home at that time and we got to one of the playoff games in Cincinnati one year. I don't even remember which year. I may have this all wrong but I think it was the one where the pitcher "Moose" threw a wild pitch allowing the Reds to score the winning run that took them to the Series. The kids have since moved out and have kids of their own and I don't pay any attention to the Reds any more.
But, it truly was "The Big Red Machine" back then with Pete Rose, Joe Morgan, Johnny Bench, Tony Perez, George Foster, Cesar Geronimo, Ken Griffey Sr., and Davey Concepcion. Of course Sparky Anderson was considered "The Main Spark." I always thought I'd preach on how we should serve God with the same fervor that Pete Rose played baseball with but that sermon never happened. Pete Rose is still "big" in Cincinnati and many of us think he should be in the Hall of Fame.
