Ah. The girl is dressed modestly, and yet we can easily tell she is a girl. Something like that?

Or is it that she shed her sweater at about 1:07 (which I only just now noticed.... but maybe I'm getting old! ) and ... uh ... sorry. I lost that train of thought.

Well, not necessarily. Have you seen some of Jane Austin's characters? Nothing helped them look like women in all the audacious finery!

I think there are some girls that like being tomboys. I'm a little of both, less tomboy, but I can be a tomboy if I need to be. I don't think I ever dress in a way that you wouldn't know I was a girl. So, dressing modestly is a good thing, because it's Biblical, but it's not a fool-proof method of identifying a girl - unless - you are meaning a dress/skirt for the apparel. And I think that is where you are leading the conversation. A criteria? LOL!

Re: Which is more important?

I believe that God's commandment against men and women wearing that which is ascribed to the opposite gender has a cultural purpose. Most of God's commands condemn something inherently sinful in the pagan cultures around them. For example, men would dress up as the "goddess" in pagan temple rituals. I think this perversion also manifests itself in cross dressing. I don't think God is actually talking about daily attire. Why? Because culturally the attire worn by Jewish men and women were nearly identical for many centuries.

I'm not sure I agree with this.

After all, it is apparent that God has blessed more than a few women with facial hair as well.

They shouldn't trim their hair-- uncut is uncut, right?

I think women and men should seek to embrace everything God has created concerning them.

Facial hair and all for women and men!
