What's new, Prax. I Award you the... Go ahead, put your name on the Trophy.

We will "Mess up" until the old ticker stops ticking. Even those who thought they were righteous; no adultery, paid tithes, prayed, observing the Sabbath and following the Law were called Vipers.

Oh, and let's not forget the Church in Corinth. A little incest along with the gifts.

And Peter, our good friend who had a small slip of the tongue.

Poor old Thomas, that doubter.

Of course we cannot forget Paul; held the coat of man while he was slaughtered by the Religious Right.

I must say, I was under many impressions as a young Christian. One was, the Church is a place where failure is under control. Boy, was I wrong.

Bro Mullings (District Superintendent of California/Nevada) told me once; People are pathetic. He didn't mean it in a bad way, only in the sense of acknowledging the truth.

I think our demise in this area is that we expect too much out of people, failing in the area of mercy. We carry around our bag of rocks, waiting to pounce on those who stumble.
It's amazing how you continually read things into what someone said.

  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.

Same ole, same ole. You say this sort of thing to everyone who ever disagrees with you. Gets old. NFS is as much of a stand-up guy as anyone on this forum. I reject the notion that he "Continually reads things into what someone said." I don't reject the idea, however, that you continually say this to people who disagree with you.

I'll go back into "Lurk" mode, now (I hope). Just wanted to speak up for NotForSale, who is one of the classiest people on AFF.

Evang.Benincasa, who are you??

You came into this Thread, drawing a sword. That's OK, as long as you want battle.

I see your nice profile pic, those beautiful children young and still under your rule. I want to see you on here when they are adults and they've basically told you to take a hike! You may not think that day is coming, but don't worry, it will.

Your posts reek of inexperience, and your bold claims about Hell are why so many walk out of Churches. You act like you've been there. So, if you're so certain about Hell being HOT, tell us, who's in there? Who's burning in flames forever, without relief?

I see you’re an Evangelist. Love em and leave em. Have you ever Pastored? If you haven't, I suggest you pull up the reins and give it a try. This would "Cool your jets". I've been on this Forum a couple of years and I'm not sure if I've ever seen someone storm a Thread like you have.

Do you preach mercy? Do you love the unlovable? Do you pray for those who hurt, cry, and fail, or do you simply write them off as cannon fodder for HELL?

You may think I’m a harsh guy, but deep down I’m just like you, just a little older. All my kids are grown, married, and have their own kids. I’ve said a lot the same things you have in the past, but good old TIME has mellowed this fireball.

First: let me say this just because your children ( I can only assume of course) told you to take a hike doesnt mean that his will or anyone else that holds to standards will.
Second: That is the problem that I have seen with many people who were once on fire for God, they "mellowed out", right out of what is Biblical, that's why it's ok to do anything you want and still go to heaven according to these people which I have not found in the Bible.

Evan. Benincasa is ok. He just has really strong opinions! Obviously you must be new here, or you would be used to him.
