AZ does have it's allure.

Many cousins have retired there and my husband's brother lived in Phoenix several years; currently his job took him near the Sedona area.

My husband says we should retire there.

I've heard that Sedona is a real New Age and American Indian type spiritual region.
People come there from different places to have "spiritual experiences" and to commune with the "spirits" that seem to hang out there.

I've "communed" with some "spirits" there.
