On the one side you have men that have eliminated bad habits. On the other side, men who are caught up in the web of pornography, sex addiction, etc. But make no mistake, all of us were on the same battlefied, and none of us too far removed from the other.
My husband and I have heard this tape and Brother Mangun was honest and did and excellent job. I think it is like someone once said you have men that have had the problem, will have the problem, or are going through the problem.

You should read the book. It is awesome. I think every married women should read the book. I know that you wouldn't just from reading your post but some women put their husbands in tempting situations without even knowing it. It shocks me to go to a Christian friends house and the wife wants to watch something questionable without giving it a second thought. If she only knew the situation she was putting her husband in, surely she wouldn't do such. Not just movies but also Victoria Secrets magazines that women leave laying around. I think some women are a little naive in this area.

Again, I know you aren't the type person to do these things but I have seen it done by married women time and time again.

It's not really complex a reality of men being heavy on visual stimulation, women on the emotional side. The science in those assertions beats any circumstantial "for examples."

When women check each other out in the mall, they are looking at their body, clothing and hairstyle - sure. But, I'll just have you know, men aren't comparing their accesories and fashion. They are taking the woman to bed in all sorts of crazy imaginations.

Why is that angering you so much? I don't get it.
I don't think this person is confusing me with what they are thinking. I have no clue what this person is talking about! Seems very angry about something or ohter.

Our son always has a girlfriend and my husband doesn't understand why he thinks he needs one.

On another note, I think that is why it annoys me when people try to say that Conservatives have more problems with sexual issues. I emphatically believe it is the make up of the person and doesn't have all that much to do with religious persuasion. I do believe that the Holy Ghost, if we are submitted, helps to curb some of this when it's not lining up with His Word, i.e., fornication, adultery, etc.

I also believe that movies can stimulate sexual desire in a viewer and can, in fact, be detrimental in the lives of some more than others. Not that I think nudity is ever good.

I remember a friend telling me that she asked her elderly father if he wanted to watch Gone With the Wind. He said, "Now, honey, that was a very sensual movie in my day." Look at where we are today?

I try to have movies that I am not ashamed for someone to see if they view my collection. I do have the Bourne Identity Trilogy and there is language, but I can't seem to get rid of it. Same with The Cowboys - I mean - it's John Wayne! What can I say?! LOL!
I love the Bourne Trilogy, despite the language. And, if we are going to get honest, Matt Damon, oooo baby!! LOL! But, hey, he's just a guy on a screen, right? If he showed up at my door wanting to go out, I would kick him to the curb! LOL!!

I like chocolate, too. But it's OK: I like dark chocolate best!

Human nature is human nature.

If sex wasn't appealing to men, it wouldn't be marketed and sold so heavily. It's the #1 industry. In ads, it's the #1 way to place product, deliver on innuendo, suggestive selling technique, etc. Some women sincerely believe their husband is exempt.
I read a book about a woman who lived undercover as a man for about a year. She said that she was regularly shocked by how men think. I have read about how men think for many, many years. I think that men are very visual and I do agree with quite a bit of what you are saying. I do believe that men have this sexual battle and women in general don't have it. I think all men have it whether it is covert or overt. I also believe I will never understand it. When I was younger I used to be offended by it but now I realize it is the make-up of a man. I think it is hard for women not to be offended by it. However, I think age and wisdom helps us see things a bit differently in that we begin to accept that others are different and have different battles....it's not necessarily better or worse battles (unless someone chooses to sin) but it is just different.

LOL - I don't even think Matt Damon is cute. It's weird how we all have different taste. Now if it was Gerard Butler I would have a different opinion. lol
