The King's Riddle

There was a King with two sons. He wanted to leave all his kingdom to only one son. He tells them that whosoever reaches the faraway Kingdom first will inherit all that he has. He gives them each a pair of shoes and has only one rule.

1. The man with the SLOWEST shoes will win the race and inherit the kingdom

The two young men wander around for days trying to be the SLOWEST. They finally give up and go and talk to the wise man. The minute the wise man gives them the answer of what they should do, they start running towards the far Kingdom like all of hell is on their heels.

WHAT did the wise man tell them to do?

Not the way, the kingdom needs to be inherited. What did they do with the shoes?

The devil told them to part with their shoes/skins that it was the only way to please God. God said no--keep the shoes on feet. What is your answer to this riddle. I have three answers to this---one for greed, one for love and obedience, and one for very bold leadership of love. The differences in where people are placed by God according to their own choices.
BUT, I'll give you the benefit of doubt, you may have an excellent answer that I haven't thought of.
