Speaking, there was once a UPC tract that was titled, "Here's a tip" and inside were instructions concerning how to avoid hell. The idea was to leave this on the restaurant table instead of a monetary tip. I wonder how many souls that one saved?

You mentioned oil changes....we launched a thing years ago to paint over graffiti and do oil changes and were shut down by our liability carrier.

reminds me of a story:
A democrat was explaining to friends how he garnered votes, tip waitress, cabbies, and barbers (one who really interact with the public) at least $20 and tell them to vote democrat.
A republican was explaining the same to his friends only he said he always tipped them a nickel........ and told them to vote democrat
