That's right.
We can hack each other to death with the letter of the Word which is NOT the sword of the Spirit. It is from the carnal letter of the Word that so many take a stand assuming apparent truth is divine truth. We have the fundamentalist people, especially the reformed who will dissect the letter of the Word so finely that it cannot any longer contain the Spirit for which it was meant to contain...since the letter is only a container.
As you intimated above. The sword of the Spirit is not to be turned on each other but how easily is the letter turned to condemn and judge.
However, there are something that are easily detected in the natural that is obviously genuine truths plainly revealed in the letter:
"Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish," does not need a great deal of spiritual revelation to see that. Anything that purports to have a way of salvation without turning away from sin...well, I hardly know what to say about that.

Re: By Their Fruits...
Right, App. Truth is plain and can be mishandles to slay others as the "Axe and two 38's" jokes have related. I am strong Acts 2:38. I have seen myself handle it like a weapon against others, when Heb 4 says the sword of the Spirit is meant to cut into our own spirits and souls and divide them, and discern our thoughts and intents, so as to remove the carnality and go past this sword of the Truth at the Garden entrance and enter freed of the caked mess on our lives that so long have covered the image of God. Acts 2:38 does not have to be distorted into the knowledge of good and evil.

The fruit is Christ's flesh and blood. In fact, eating His flesh and drinking His blood speaks of uniting ourselves to His death.
The sheep hear HIS VOICE.... His words of the cross.
Wolves cannot enter the Kingdom and do not have its keys. The keys include the self denial, taking the cross and following Jesus.
When Christ gave the bread and wine representing His flesh and blood He betokened the cross in His death.
The LIFE He came to give could only come by the cross, though. Lose your life in death with Him to find it resurrected again. And resurrection life is always more abundant than natural life.

Great post....
I do a series of bible studies on eating the flesh of Jesus and drinking his blood.
In short, I point out that eating his flesh is that of receiving His Word, eating it and assimilating it into our inward, spirit man until we are completely clothed, immersed and sustained by it as being one with it in our own spirits.
Drinking His blood, is that of doing his will. Since His Will is the blood of the New Testament. As any will, it is not in force until after the death of the testator at which time the will is read. By receiving the will, we make ourselves available to the provisions of the read will by following its dictates.
Well, it's a lengthy study, after all.

Sounds great. Similarly the Lord gave me a thought of taking the broken bread and poured wine into our lives is like identifying ourselves with His death, in recognizing His death was our own. And IN THAT WAY we are His Sheep and His body, and one bread. Comm-UNION. Fellowship.
