True, but the Bible does speak of destroying the temple (our bodies) There are things that most certainly do that...like heroin. Last I checked smelling good and taking baths was not detremental to ones life...unless a hairdryer is dropped in the tub.
When will people mature beyond the rulebook mentality? Seriously, the attitude is where it starts. Sin is first conceived before it is birthed. It is first internal, then external, and if let go has eternal consequence.
