I prefer the DVD versions. Especially if narrated by Charlton Heston or Orson Wells.

You may be the only living explination why there is a missing period of church history, wasn't until photography people started believing again. Maybe the UPC does need tv's.

Well, word of mouth beyond that 1st hand account is notoriously fickle.

If this was some sort of "supernatural sign". What was God trying to prove exactly? And remember how OP's made fun of Tenney and his pulpit split? Maybe God missed on this one too?

It was a CONFIRMATION that what they were experiencing was real? Or that what was preached was true?? (Anyone know what the sermon was?)

I just read in the beginning of this thread that it was "In defense of the pulpit".

So, how could a meteor hitting outside the church be confirming anything at all?

God is on the side of the preacher. Don't mess. He means business!

Like I said, you know what they said when Tenney's pulpit split! To be fair, if God missed Tenney, maybe he missed here too! We can't pick and choose when God misses, can we?

Re: WPF Meeting Claims Mysterious Fire the Work of

I am not sure about this but it seems that this kind of thing happened at Christian Life Center with Pastor R. E. Libby years ago and the fire dept was called because people saw fire all over the roof of the church. I may have it wrong but It does seem like I heard them tell that and seems like it was even in the newspaper! Maybe someone wants to check it out.
