Wow. I haven't seen so much One God, Apostolic, Jesus Name discussion on AFF since....
...well, since the last time we were called heretics, backsliders, trinity lovers and compromisers!

The point is, Oneness folks don't have a corner on the word Apostolic. Charles Parhams work was called the Apostolic Faith Mission. Apostolic is just a word that someone coined to differentiate themselves from the trinitarians that most often used the word "Pentecostal". Just because someone says "I'm Apostolic" doesn't mean they are Oneness. Catholics use the word, too, for cryin' out loud. I'll tell you what it is.... its just a word that the devil has used (quite sucessfully I might add) to divide God's people into a thousand different warring cliques. I use it to say I agree with the Apostles Doctrine, not to identify with any one group.

There are a number of churches, organizations that call themselves Pentecostal. I have no problem when someone asks what my religious persuasion is, to say "Apostolic Pentecostal". To me Apostolic means that we follow the doctrine (teaching) of the apostles of Jesus Christ. Pentecostal is the experience that was poured out and received on the Day of Pentecost. Real simple! Biblical too! I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.
