Were the Happy Goodman's Saved?

If so then use their material. (By the way this is not an endorsement of a lesser salvation)

But if the Goodman's didn't experience your view of Salvation, then please stop using their music.

Just something that drives me crazy.

If preachers stopped using all of the songs written by "those other peoples," stopped using all of the commentaries, Bible translations, and other books written by trinitarians they would find themselves sitting in their offices with the KJV...wait, they might not even have that, and maybe some copies of Bugs Bunny and other comic books that they may have held onto over the years. (Now I know that's painting with a broad brush, but it ain't too far off!)

In regard to the Goodmans....I plan on rejoicing with them at the Marriage Supper of The Lamb!

If only "the religious" could walk in the Spirit of Christ and love one another without judging. And if this post is judgmental, then please forgive me oh God! If I am religious and have not...... "1Co 13:1* Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
1Co 13:2* And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
1Co 13:3* And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing."

I hope that people realize I am TIC about this subject. But I do have peers who feel strongly about these things, I just want to point out a glaring inconsistency.

Reminds me of people who study from trinitarian authors but will not let them preach in their churches.

Re: Were the Happy Goodman's Saved?

This thread reminds me of the thread were we were honoring Vestal when she passed and it ended up being about her going to hell. So sad.

Sorry to use a real life example, but I think it reflects a problem for some people.

To them, these people aren't saved, didn't have a relationship with God, but man their songs were anointed and meaningful.

Forgive me for making my point at their expense.

Different to discuss it now than the thread where she has just passed away - that was the only point I was making.

Re: Were the Happy Goodman's Saved?

Annointing does not always equal salvation.
Numerous examples abound.
