I think that you can "contend for the faith" until it becomes unproductive for your personal life. And I, especially, think that we can lose a bit of our tenderness and patience in the continuing battle. And, LOL, I think we need to decide for ourselves whether the battle is productive or not. Many of the Conservative voices haven't left a fight, they have felt it is unproductive, IMO. Why be so at odds day after day?
