Do you all have a tab on your profile page called 'infractions'? I see one on every member's profile, and am pretty sure that regular members can only see their own infractions tab.
If so, you can click on that to see how many active infractions you have. Infractions are active for 60 days.
3 active infractions will earn a member a 3-day ban. 
Click on your name in a post and from the drop-down menu click on 'View Public Profile'. That will take you to your profile page.

Hmm, I don't see an infraction tab -- BUT DON'T PUT ONE ON! Let's keep it the way it is...

I just checked.
I've had 2 infractions.
One was 4/21/2009 and it has expired.
The other was 12/30/2010 and it will expire 2/28/2011.
So I better behave myself

Maybe it only shows up on those who have had infractions. Mine doesn't show any infractions.
