If we want to really be serious about this, it's time to edit our emoticons. Those things are worse than words!

For example, there's the Big Baby, one of my personal faves to use for whiners:

There's the violent emoticon

There's the unkind "laughing at you"

The condescending "pat"

The sexually harrassing lovey ones

The annoying

The threatening

The bitter

The biggoted anti-old people one

Did I say threats already?

The rude

The scheming

The gossipy

The insensitive

The racist

and....
The idolatrous

Are you accusing the Forum of speaking out of both sides of their mouths??

If so, I agree with you.

No, just that they are setting us up for failure.

I mean this is quite an arsenal!

Hogwash. You're 100% serious and you should be. An infraction can be issued for calling someone ignorant, yet I am provided with, by the Forum, this smilie.......

As long as you don't use it in a sentence such as this:

'I think you are ' you'll be fine.

You can use that smiley for many other various uses other than to mock or ridicule another member.

Hoovie desperately searches for good cause for a smackdown...

finding nothing, he instead asked his FRIENDS to chill out and enjoy the benefits of said forum.

Ok, I consider myself highly skilled, in fact, an expert, in avoiding infractions. It took me a while but I figured it out. Since I figured out the name-calling/infraction game, I've only received the infractions I wanted. Here recently, I basically begged for one because I wanted to know if there was a change in the AFF climate (and learned there was). So, if I say, "You're an idiot", I'm going to get an infraction....well, unless I said it to Coadie. However, if I say, "Be careful, you're starting to sound like an idiot", I'm squeaky clean.

But I see here it's possible that I can actually add to my name-calling/insult arsenal. For example, if I say, "The Forum's obsession this week with taking away my ability to comment about the validity of baptism in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit is theologically irresponsible", I'm going to get an infraction.

BUT.....if I say, "I think the Forum's obsession this week with taking away my ability to comment about the validity of baptism in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit is theologically irresponsible", I'm off the hook?

I LOVE IT!! This could open up a while new world to me!

Hey it could be - depending on how small your world really is...

Your baptismal question is not off limits BTW, just needs to happen in the proper designated area. If I remember it was asked that you have that discussion in the debate area. So enjoy!
