Anyone who would ever sell themselves to the world, to a television show, is shaking hands with the devil. Do you really think a few minutes of fame on any television show is really worth the risk of bringing all the worldly influence that TV offers into your home? I turned my back on the world, no thanks.

We make these limitations all up. Not that you have done this, your post just happened to be where I'm saying this.
I can declare God's glory outside of saying "We declare your Glory."

Well, yes and by content, I did not just mean words to a song, but their performance and witness in general.

well yes and no I suppose. We did a Tv show, but it did not change the influence "the world" has in our lives today (four years later).
I do understand much of what Hollywood has to offer is not Christlike - on this we agree.

I agree. Did you ever hear Katherine Jenkins sing "Vide Cor Meum"? You Tube it...

Nor is your neighbor's story. Your morning paper. Your novel. Your workplace. Your front door.
Christ dirtied himself with other people's stories, even when the Pharisees scrutinized himself for "bringing that trash into his home."
The Essene cave mentality kills me. We are in this world. I can hear it's stories, appreciate the art of it, laugh and enjoy it, it's not contaminated, I'M CONTAMINATED. I don't have to wear white gloves and a breathing mask over my face. I show how to be IN and not OF, not with walls and a cave, but by living life in a normal, everyday rhythms.

I agree. And to your last comment I would only add "without being unduly influenced by the same".
