I tried it once and I thought for sure I could re-create some of my old training. But I sucked at it.

We should all be careful to distinguish between a "con" and a self righteous,holier-than-thou, ignorant hayseed. Or as one minister put it, , "A wild-eyed, Bible-thumping redneck."

Re: This is NOT Admin Criticism!!
Having cons and ultra cons post here brings a richness of diversity that when gone is sorely missed. Two case in points;
1. Two beautiful thought provoking threads by two conservative wordsmiths - RRford and Coonskinner. There may be more but those are two that I saw. They blessed me and were thought provoking.
2. Old Paths II - from an entertainment standpoint it just does not get any better than some ultra con railing against people splitting the pit for watching the superbowl. I am waiting eagerly for OPII to educate us about the evilness of exposed elbows.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Can I just confess something, brothers? I've had a real problem checking out women's elbows lately. I need prayer.

It's not the elbows for me, it's that crevice inside the elbow. That's what gets me every time.

It is quite hard to keep a straight face while advocating that exposed elbows are sexy and dying ones hair somehow is wrong because it changes something natural when deoderant, toothpaste, and perfume do that all the time. Oh, and don't forget trying to keep a straight face while you proclaim that makeup is a mask on women that covers up their true self / expressions. (my wife has never had a problem expressing her true self through a little lipstick and makeup - LOL)

PLEASE don't go into detail. I'm struggling enough as it is.
