The fact that the President did not make an official statement on this yet reminds me of how W was treated, everything was blamed on him, he never responded quick enough, etc...

I really don't know what to think about the whole fiasco as far as their afterlife. May God have mercy on their souls-- that's all I can hope for them and for me when my time comes.

Immediately, I was bothered by the fact that these pirates were not hesitant enough about killing multiple American citizens-- while negotiations were happening!

This event is a FAILURE of EPIC proportions of our military and indirectly, of our President.

Really, it would have been better for us to not have negotiated at all with these clowns than for us to negotiate and for it to end like this.

EPIC FAIL!

Our response needs to be SEVERE!

The actions of these Somali pirates are very provacative.

They would have indicted their entire nation, if the forsaken ones over there had a government in the first place.

I expect our President, with the use of our military, to do something about this killing of innocent Americans.

They were at least nominally Muslim. Just "how Muslim" they were would matter because it would affect the way that they treated their prisoners.

They weren't jihadists out to "spread the faith." They were openly involved in piracy - which is condoned by the Koran and Hadiths as long as the pirates follow certain restrictions and prey only on "infidels." But, piracy isn't generally a course one would expect to be taught at the Madrasah.

Do what, Jermyn? Do what? Increase military presence? This is not a nation committing these crimes. They are rogue gangsters that swarm the waters.

This is not a political liability at all. Obama is not on a boat ship, playing the part of Chuck Norris for us all, saving the day. It's disgusting the way many have made these murders another political rant against Obama. In fact, it's out of bounds!

This is a matter of concern for the entire international community.
