Be glad your not like a preacher who had problems with everyone going to sleep during the preaching service. He talked to another pastor and devised a plan. He went and got a devils suit and when everyone went to sleep at the next service he went out of the side door, put on the suit and came running in from the front door. As he ran up the middle of the church with his pitch fork everyone ran out the side doors and jumped from the windows. He got up to the front of the church and on the first row sat a little old lady smiling. He growled at her and yet she sat there quiet. He said " Don't you know who I am"? Yes she said, I do. He replied to her, " Well arent you going to run? " She said, " Why should I. I've been on your side all along!!!"

You know, I've always figured if people are falling asleep when I'm speaking, it's my fault, not theirs.

You should just run it on your projector system at the beginning of each and every service, like they do in the movie theaters...'Please silence your cell phones now'. If you have a slide-show, intermingle it every few frames.
They run that about 5 times before each movie at a theater, you should do the same at church where it's MUCH more important. Like Renda said, people just forget and need reminders. I know I do!
And for those that just won't listen and are repeat offenders, take 'em back behind the woodshed after service and beat the tar out of 'em!

My daughter put this on the screen - "Unless you are talking to Jesus, please turn off your cell phone during service. Thank you!"

Re: Cell Phone Video for your Church
I like the sign for the screen that says,
"Yes, God wants to talk to you today.
No, He will not be calling you on your cell phone to do it.
Please turn all cell phones off during the service"

What is wrong with people? I have a love/hate relationship with cellphones. I kind of miss the days when I could actually be UNAVAILABLE at quite a few times during the day.

Re: Cell Phone Video for your Church
I DO have a confession: I've been guilty of texting friends (who were in church with me at the time) and asking them if they remembered to turn off their phones.
I know. That's awful. But it's REALLY funny.
