In years past I have heard the only cruise a pentecostal should go on is an Alaskan one -for obvious reasons.

IF we go on another cruise it will probably be an Antarctic destination! I know it is cold and icy and I HATE the cold and I HATE the ice, but it would be great to actually step foot there! That and my wife wants to see Emperor penguins.

Our first cruise was to the Bahamas, then last August we took the Princes Sapphire to Alaska. The landscape is so beautiful. We learned alot from those trips, will likely do smaller ships in the future, with more acceptable themes.

But it was a great trip, you are right about the food, it was abundant, but lacked some quality. Entering our sixties, we are less on the abundance and more on quality of taste and nutrition.

Yeah, if you avoid the entertainment and the pool areas! LOL

Even the food during our sit down dinners was exactly the same as what was found in the buffet line, except prettied up a bit before serving.

I said in several places that midway through the cruise I was REALLY craving a full rack of baby back ribs from Chili's along with a side of their Texas cheese fries. In fact the day we got home last Sunday around 5 in the afternoon and by 6:30 had the Dominoes pizza delivery guy at our door.

....or any of the beaches. Or the "movie under the stars", or any of the bars (which there were many), or the casino.

The buffet is really the only thing allowed when it comes right down to it.

And the buffet is really dangerous, lotsa food, void of taste and nutrition.

Re: Princess Cruise

We have been on a couple cruises and a couple all inclusive destinations and participated and enjoyed pretty much everything except the nightclub joints.
