Re: A.A. Allen
A.A.Allen Is In The Hands Of A Just Judge. So I'll leave him alone.
I'm trying reach those who are alive and point them to Christ, rather than drag up the dead.
I'll say this if God touched anybody and did something for them in The meetings of COE,ALLEN,Branham,ROBERTS etc,etc I'll rejoice over what God did.

Re: A.A. Allen
I will say this after speaking to the media, newspapers, NPR, TV, News, etc... that I have never - in 39 years of ministry, have I ever been quoted correctly. Every time I have ever given an interview, they have slanted it and cut it up and made it sound like something that it was not. You CANNOT win with the secular media. They Hate God and the Gospel.
I have heard Evangelist Gene Martin and other say many time - that worked with Brother Allen - If he did the miracles he did by drinking something - you need to find out what he drank and drink some yourself!
The facts are - it has NEVER been proven and it a lie that has circulated from the time he left the Assemblies of God.

Thanks again!
As far as doing miracles and being false, that is possible. Jesus said we can perform wonders and all, and yet he never knew us. And he meant genuine miracles. So the line about doing miracles by drinking something we should obtain is not on course. But I am not saying that confirms Allen was false. As you say the media hates Jesus and will do anything to discredit true people of God. People should take heed lest they be brought up on discrediting a true move God when That Great Day comes.

Re: A.A. Allen
I referenced what Gene Martin said because he and those that worked with Brother Allen day by day by day and lived with him - never did believe one word of the accusations against AAA.
I have heard from many how that during his camp meeting at Miracle Valley, he would cook at his house for many ministers and feed them yet fasted the entire time - 21 days at a time.
I know people that were worldly sinners and they got saved in his tent here in Atlanta and now preach around the world and pastor great churches.
I do know that Leroy Jenkins basically had his arm cut off and AAA prayed for him and it was healed instantly and he has prayed for people around the world with that hand and God has healed them. I certainly do not agree with all that LJ has done or does but one thing for sure - he prays for people in the Name and Authority of Jesus Christ and people are healed!
You cannot restrict GOD to your box! He is not contained by man. You can make up all the rules you want and say God does not use anyone that does not do it your way but - God will use ANYBODY that is a willing vessel.
Name me ONE perfect disciple! They all had faults but God forgives.
I LOVE to watch the video's of AAA and I have a lot of his books, mags and records. He was God's Man of Faith & Power and I do not believe one word of the drinking and drunkenness that was told to discredit him.

Re: A.A. Allen
I knew Allen quite well. I worked with him for a while. I can attest to the truth of his genuine love for people and his intense desire to see the power of God working on behalf of the lost, the sick, the diseased, the oppressed and possessed and down trodden. I first became acquainted with him about 1954 in his great New Orleans crusade. He shook the city and many people came out of Catholicism and filled up Pentecostal churches of all stripes. I knew some of those people who remained faithful to God until their deaths.
I've been in many, many Allen Miracles Crusades and never knew him to have indulged in alcohol or any ungodly vice. I am sure that these rumors are false, perpetuated by those who could not control or influence him.
Truly, he was God's man of faith and power. I stood within just inches away as God worked the most wonderful miracles as I watched with my own eyes. I've seen almost every miracle that you can think of in the lives, hearts and bodies of people who attended his meetings.
However, I did see a change in Allen from the first time I first met him. He took on a showmanship disposition and started calling himself and his platform workers as "stars." His dress took on a change also...from that of a very conservative appearance in dress to bright colors and flash. I was disappointed in that.
Some time in the early 1960s he began preaching the "prosperity" message. I bought one of his books entitled, "Send Now, Prosperity." I never approved of the way that the message was presented. I was also disappointed in that.
Still, God used him in a mighty way. I have watched demons started manifesting themselves when he walked out on the platform. I never knew anyone who the power over the devil to cast them out as he did. He was truly a man of great faith.
I would never disparage the man by accusing him of something that I did not have any evidence of him doing. The San Francisco Coroner recorded his death as something other than what has been widely reported. He did not die from "acute alcoholism" as his enemies would have you to believe. He had a liver condition that attributed to his death from which some concluded that it had to be from alcohol since he had been charged with drunk driving in Tenn in the early 1950s shortly after breaking away from the Assemblies of God. This was never proven. I heard Kent Rogers tell how that he and Allen was poisoned by something that they had eaten, only to learn many years later, by a confession that someone had spiked their food which induced their condition. I am not surprised nor would I doubt it since I am personally acquainted how deadly religious politics can be and often are.
I would advise everyone to not take up a rumor without personal evidence against a man of God unless you want to face that in judgment.

Re: A.A. Allen
Interesting accounts from some,i was only reporting what i had heard many many years ago, 2 or 3 points, my head tells me that chemically dependent people can hide their dependency from even their closest friends ,i wont bother to go into any examples, however, i also know what happened in my town when the apostolic church first arrived and started having success, showing people in the catholic church(the town was heavily french catholic)the truth and all hell broke loose, with the local priests even showing up and disturbing our services, in addition to that he was in a town that i suppose even then might have been a gay haven. So i can see where, very easily this could have been forged by someone seeking revenge or some extra money from someone.

Re: A.A. Allen
It seems that no amount of proof will satisfy if one's mind is made up. There is no indication that the coroner lied in the autopsy report. It is true until proven false.
The controversy surrounding A A Allen is well documented and his stage magic tricks are pure grade 'B'. He specialized in the slight-of-mind of his audience.

For goodness' sakes, you're reformed, Dave. Your whole movement is against these things, period -- genuine or not. (At least I think that is what the reformed movement claims).
I have prayed for people and cast out devils as Allen did, and I suppose someone is saying I am using slight-of-mind, too. But I genuinely believe it is God and the actual supernatural at work.
