The poor in America

If you believe you are saved by works, you will look down at the poor. If you believe you were a sinner saved by grace (You couldn't help yourself, you couldn't save yourself) you will love the poor.

Oh how related this theology is to all issues.

Those who are with the Messiah, aren't only ministers by words, but also by deeds.

My view of the perspectives in this thread, far surpasses the issues of what is the proper role for government (which is worthy for debate), but more on how poor people are viewed.
