Re: "In those days there was no king in Israel:

sounds like a good message and I am so thankful to have godly people over me and I hope those I try to help along the way see me as a godly person...
Can we get the CD or DVD of the message?

Re: "In those days there was no king in Israel:

Unfortunately, some have made men king in their lives, it is fine and good to have teachers and mentors, but eventually we should come to be one with God "...the Father and I are one...! Agreeing with God in all that we embrace, loving good and hating evil, "...acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will direct your paths..." "...I set before you life and death....therefore choose life..."

This is harder to do than many understand because there are so many voices in the world, we must mature and grow so that we, with God's help, instinctively choose LIFE, in every decision and action. "...the student, when he/she is completely taught, will be like the teacher...."

Paul said, that many of one of the churches, that when they should of been teachers, they still needed someone to teach them even the basics.

When we fail to recognize God, in loving Him, respecting Him and the laws of nature that He has placed in the creation, we are in trouble. Placing any man in the place of God is idolatry.

We live in a culture of "king" leaders, folks looking for someone to tell them how to live their lives, lift them up or beat them up, with emotive messages.

Oh, for servant leaders that do not seek to "Lord it over" those that they should be serving and carefully guiding to maturity. Even the law, was called a "schoolmaster" to bring them to Christ. Grow them up, and let them serve HIM and them (others), and advance the kingdom.

Sis. Falla,
I believe in accountability.
I'm 73 years old. My pastor is the age of some of my children. Yet, if I know that I am not going to be at church for weekend service, or for midweek service, or for outreach, or if I go some place to preach, I let him know. This is not to get his permission but just a courtesy to let him know what I am doing.

I had a pastor who used to say, "The most uncommon thing in the world is common sense."

Crakjak, reading your post here makes me wonder if you and I didn't have the same father!

Yes, Paul said some of those that should have been teachers, still have need that one should teach them.

And he also called the Galatians foolish.

In Galatians 4:19, "My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

Just as a natural child, when properly fed and cared for, should develop into a healthy individual, the inner
man should also be fed, and cared for to become a healthy Christian.

Good Post, Brother!
