Me too, but not always and the point was who is to say it has to always be that way? The bible never says how?

I've seen saints that apparently didn't get the memo yet go sounding off during the tongues and the interpretation. Perhaps the "hush" is a learned trait?

When we have extended worship and or someone says "Let's be sensitive" being experienced we know that at least someone is expecting T&I or some event to occur. Maybe some of us can sense it too at first. Can you see, after experience, how we can "hush" because we are expecting T&I?

1 Corinthians 14:40, But be sure that everything is done properly and in order.

There can't be an interpretation without the "gift of tongue" utterance present. One gift must precede the other to form proper harmony.

I could have asked him to utilize me, however I felt all was worship and God ministering rather than a message wanting to come forth.

After hearing a previous "interpretation" from this person's mouth and being skeptical, I decided to try the spirit. I simply asked if the message wasn't genuine, for God to close the man's mouth. While I remained in the sanctuary, no message was interpreted. When I felt to leave the sanctuary and began praying, 5 seconds after I stepped out of the sanctuary, immediately the person proceeded to give the "interpretation."

Not to be critical of you or any conclusions you may have drawn from your experience, however, I would like to suggest that you take some time alone with God while you examine your own spirit as to whether or not you have been un-dually critical from a preset perspective that might not be altogether correct. A critical spirit can hinder the flow of the Spirit in the life a man.

wow...I hope these two are just pulling my chain. How sad if they were serious.

They probaby think "preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15) include dogs, cats, mice, etc......lol
