ACN National Conference in Bryant, Arkansas

There's going to be a fantastic conference in Bryant, Arkansas the first week of August.
I've heard the ACN described as being "The UPC with Grace".
The conference I attended last year was filled with the purest worship and praise, and open friendship that I've ever been involved with, within OR without the Organization.
So all y'all that live in Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Texas, C'MON DOWN!

Looks like a might fine conference. You can download a PDF flyer with the schedule for the 2011 Conference from this link: http://www.theacn.net/download_file....2Fevent_17.pdf

That's a direct download link so you may want to check your Downloads Folder if the flyer doesn't open automatically in your browser.

Sis Alvear,

Those are Baker's from the family that were missionaries to Brazil. I believe James is the son and Jarrod the grandson of the UPC Missionary to Brazil years ago. Years ago I went to church with the daughter, Sharon Baker, in Texas.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
